MR EDWARD BACHEPAEDIATRIC & YOUNG ADULT ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON

Ed Bache (Christopher Edward Bache) is a Paediatric Orthopaedic and young adult hip surgeon based in the West Midlands. His practice covers a full range of paediatric Orthopaedic conditions and since his appointment as consultant he has developed an interest in dissorders affecting the young adult hip and sport related hip disease.

Mr Bache qualified from Birmingham University in 1990. His Orthopaedic training was on the West Midlands training programme where he developed an interest in Children's Orthopaedics. He gained FRCS (Trauma & Orth) in 2001 and subsequently spent a year at The Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne. He was appointed as consultant to Birmingham Children's hospital and The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in 2003.

Mr Bache has an active interest in research and developing new techniques. He has more than 30 published articles in peer reviewed journals and has edited a text book on children's fractures
